Jennifer Anderson, a dual language Pre-K teacher at El Camino Real Academy, was selected to the 15th cohort of Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic Society Grosvenor Teacher Fellows. The 2023 Fellows will embark on expeditions around the world, including far-flung destinations such as Antarctica, the Galápagos Islands, Australia’s Wild Northwest Kimberley region, the Arctic, and beyond, onboard Lindblad Expeditions’ state-of-the-art expedition vessels to enhance their geographic knowledge with hands-on, field-based experiences that they will bring back to their classrooms, communities, and professional networks. Please visit the National Geographic website to learn more about the Grosvenor Teacher Fellows. To learn about all Fellows selected in this cohort, head to the Biobook!
Ms. Anderson participated in a pilot program to establish developmentally appropriate dual language practices for Pre-K. She adores Pre-K because of students' natural curiosity and enthusiasm about the world around them. She uses project-based studies to tap into students’ interests through discussion, exploration, creativity and collaboration in Spanish and English.
She will depart for the Galapagos Islands in October on the National Geographic Endeavor II! Congratulations, Jennifer!
