About

Evan Gourd

El Camino Real Academy is a multi-cultural, multi-literate community of respectful, kind, responsible and creative learners striving for excellence. Most students belong to the Dual Language program, which provides at least 50% of their academic instruction in Spanish and 50% in English.

All students in grades 6th to 8th are encouraged to choose band, guitar, choir or piano as a musical focus. Additional enrichment activities include Cooking with Kids (K-3rd), which educates and empowers children and families to make healthy food choices through hands-on learning with fresh, affordable foods, National Dance Institute (4th), which helps children experience excellence and a belief in themselves through dance, and AVID (Achievement Via Independent Determination) (5th to 8th), which prepares all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
